vegetables and fruits with pancreatitis

The diet for pancreatic pancreatitis as such begins no earlier than 4 days (earlier, only complete hunger).

According to the generally accepted classification of diets, which is used in hospitals, proper nutrition for pancreatitis is diet No. 5 Penza. Food should be taken in small portions 5-6 times a day, excluding snacks between main meals.

The essence of the diet is the rejection of all foods that increase the production of acid in the stomach and provoke the active work of pancreatic enzymes. After an exacerbation of the disease, doctors strongly recommend following a diet for a long time - at least 8 months.

General recommendations

Proper pancreatitis diet every day is important to prevent pain attacks, or at least reduce their severity.

  1. With acute pancreatitis or with an exacerbation of a chronic form, all food must be crushed, boiled or steamed, which guarantees maximum stomach savings.
  2. It is better to steam food, so it conserves nutrients and does not harm the body. Food should be taken in small portions about 5-6 times a day.
  3. It is not allowed to overeat, because this creates not only an increased load on the pancreas, but also on the entire digestive tract as a whole.
  4. Do not eat cold or hot food, the food must be hot. The optimum temperature is 20 - 50 °.

Food for pancreatic pancreatitis should be nutritious, contain an increased amount of protein, but a reduced amount of fat and carbohydrates (especially sugar) to prevent the liver from degenerating into fatty hepatitis and the development of diabetes mellitus.
